Residual emissions factors for green electricity tariffs

Hi All,

I’m working with an organisation that purchases a small proportion of it’s electricity with a green tariff. Historically, they have assumed that the emissions factor for this energy is zero. I’ve advised that they should speak to their supplier to request an emissions factor. If they can’t get that, I think hey should apply the residual mix emissions factor. My question is, is that right and also does anyone know where I find that data?
Thanks

Hi Kev,

Yes I agree, they should check with their supplier that it’s really green electricity - however I would assume the supplier would document that on the electricity invoice).

For residual mix emission factors you can look at Association of Issuing Bodies factors (accessible through Carbon+Alt+Delete).
