This page contains an overview of improvements to existing features on Carbon+Alt+Delete’s roadmap (in a random order). To help us prioritize, please like the top 5 improvements that are most important for you. Please do not reply to these options.
#1 Report update. General improvements to the automatically generated reports, such as additional information on the boundaries (e.g., exclusion criteria) and emissions results (e.g., graphs of the carbon footprint).
#2 Distance calculator for different transport modes. An improved distance calculator that allows for transport mode specific distance calculation, for both freight and passenger transport.
#3 Custom Target setting. This will allow for customization of your target reduction percentage in the target setting tool.
#4 Offsets as out-of-scope emissions. This will allow to account for offsets (avoided emissions or removals) in an out-of-scope activity. There will be no compensation for in-scope emissions.
#5 Simulations, actuals and target graph. This will allow for comparison of the simulated emissions forecasts, the actual emissions and the emission targets in one graphical overview.
#6 Customize an existing emission factor. This will allow to customize an existing emission factor (e.g. change WTT value of an electricity emission factor of AiB) and save it in the custom emission factor library.
#7 Unit fix. This will allow for manually switching “combined” units (passenger.km, tonne.km), also for inventory lines that are using an emission factor from the factor library.
#8 Attachment multi-edit. This will allow for editing (and thus also adding) the same attachments for multiple inventory lines.
#9 Filter feature for the factor library emission factor search. This will allow users to filter based on the values of a specific column, in addition to using the free text search field. For example, for AiB users will get all countries in a dropdown when they prepare a filter for the Keyword of the emission factor.
#10 Inventory line position. This will enable a default ranking logic for created, duplicated, empty lines as long as there is no user sorting (so inventory will not ‘disappear’) and will allow for drag and drop of inventory lines.
#11 Custom fields for reports. This will allow for report creation based on the custom fields that the user created. E.g. a GHG Protocol report for the inventory that was tagged with ‘CBAM’.
#12 Intercompany trade aggregation in simulation graph. This will allow for aggregation based on the traded from column in the simulation graph.
#13 Simulation update. This update will allow for better time series calculations, a direct reduction action (e.g. 100 ton CO2e reduction), manually restoring the previous state, do simulation with only the selected actions…
#14 Validation of imported activity data. Add (sub)totals of the imported activity data in the last step of the import flow for validation of the import.
#15 XBRL export for CSRD reporting. This will allow for exporting the carbon accounting and strategy metrics and targets in XBRL format so it is easily integrated in CSRD software.
#16 Import with emission factors from factor library. This will allow for importing to the inventory with emissions factor from the factor library, both the connected (e.g. Ecoinvent) and the custom emission factors.
