From spend based to detailed footprinting data from suppliers

One of our clients is looking to have more exact view on their scope 3, supplier carbon emissions. Therefore, my question: Are there SBT guidelines/methodologies to incorporate carbon emission data from suppliers (I.e. Total carbon emissions supplier x client turnover%)? and I assume you are not allowed to take into account planned reduction efforts from your supplier?
