A partner of mine is using Climatiq to access emissions factors; I understand that it simply uses publicly available data and aggregates it. Would be interested in anyone’s take on its usefulness/accuracy
We at Carbon+Alt+Delete have been using the Climatiq API in the past.
It can be very helpfull in getting emission factor data quickly in a clean and machine-readable format.
However, Climatiq works with the emission factors as is. So different emission factor databases have (slightly) different structures. Also, not all factors are always available. So in general you need to validate the factors that you need and if Climatiq can provide them.
