# Carbon accounting in the charity sector

Does anyone have experience of carbon accounting for the charity sector?

What is the recommendation for calculations relating to grants? Should these be accounted for? What category would this sit in if it does? Or would it almost be its own separate category?

Hi Bianca,

I would account for this with investments in scope 3. No specific experience with carbon accounting in the charity sector. Would it be any different from other sectors in your regard (apart from the charity vs. inventment question)?
